Airplane pilots, enthusiasts, and interested parties are invited to see and admire Jefferson’s Cypress River Airport on Saturday, May 26 between the hours of 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. The airport is located approximately 3 miles East on Hwy 134 (from Big Cypress Bayou Bridge in Jefferson).
A T-28 plane once used as a trainer in pilot training programs as well as “air to ground combat” in Viet Nam will be displayed. Additional antique aircraft are anticipated to fly in on Saturday (weather permitting) for public viewing.
Diamond Don’s Airport Diner will be open serving some tasty BBQ with all the trimmings.
Pilots and crew who fly in for the show and open house will eat FREE.
Private aircraft are welcome to fly in for the open house celebration.
